In an article published in September 2020, we announced that DNV, one of the major voices within the oil and gas (O&G) and energy industry, had invited 3YOURMIND to participate in the Digital Warehouse Joint-Innovation Project.
Six months later, the decisive phase of the ecosystem simulation is underway with the 3YOURMIND platform as the cornerstone. This collaboration is a breakthrough in terms of the digitization of spare parts supply chains with additive manufacturing. The Oil and Gas industry ought to create new sustainable models and digital transformation is a key asset in this endeavor. The blueprint thus created will serve - beyond the energy sector - every industry in need of more flexible parts supply chains.
What is the Digital Warehouse Joint-Innovation Project (JIP)?
The objective of JIP Digital Warehouse of DNV is to create an assurance framework for how distributed and on-demand printing of spare parts should be done to ensure the ultimate goal: that the end-user gets the right part, with the right properties, in the right time.
This project invites global leaders (Saudi Aramco, ConocoPhillips, Vallourec, Petrolvalves, Valland, IMI CCI, Voestalpine, JFE Steel Corporation, Hiptec, Guaranteed, Ramlab, Norsk Titanium, Immensa Technology Labs, Additive Industries, Addilan, 3YOURMIND, and XDM 3D Printing.) to participate and develop an assurance framework that mitigates the risks and amplifies the benefits of additive manufacturing.
Focused on standardizing spare parts production and improving the energy value chain, this partnership will equip both parties with the resources and data needed to transform the oil & gas and energy industry.
