We Now Offer Pricing Estimates for Milled Parts

Product Stephan Galozy | January 25, 2024 | 2 min read

The first month of the new year kept us busy, but today, we are proud to share our newest release with great new capabilities in part identification and secure on-demand production.

One highlight we’re particularly proud of is the CNC machining price formula, which we have successfully developed with pioneer customers.

Keep reading to learn more.

Milling Price Estimate (Beta)

Assessing part prices is one of 3YOURMIND's main capabilities, which our customers love and rely on. New to the family is our milling price estimate. It gives users a good comparison of the total cost of conventional manufacturing and increases the list of available options for on-demand manufacturing.

Our pioneer customers have given us great feedback that this formula already serves simple and medium-complex geometries very well. We'll train the algorithm over the next few months to provide pricing for more complex parts.

Secure Collaboration With Shared and Restricted Attachments

We are continuing on our path to connect MROs better with OEMs and suppliers for secure on-demand production. Last month, we released ‘internal comments,’ and this month, our customers benefit from ‘internal attachments.’

Internal attachments make information accessible in one place, saving the need to search for files in different folders or databases. Here, attachments can be shared or restricted based on user permissions.

Video: Here, users can access the technical drawing file, but the custom quotation file is restricted to users without permission.

Other Improvements at a Glance:

  • CSV import functionality is now exclusively available for expert users.
  • Advanced printer utilization tracking is now available in production mode.
  • GDPR-compliant user deletion is now automated.
  • Various updates on part property types & fields.
  • Several bug fixes.

For more details, see our release notes for 24.1.

This release is currently being rolled out to our SaaS customers. Updates should be available within the next few days if you still await updates.
