3YOURMIND 2025: Where We've Been and Where We're Going

News Aleksander Ciszek | January 29, 2025 | 5 min read

As we kick off 2025, we'd like to highlight some of our achievements from 2024.

As we begin the new year, I'm proud to reflect on how far 3YOURMIND has come since its founding in 2014. Over the past decade, we've witnessed significant shifts in the 3D printing industry. What began as a mission to uncover practical 3D printing applications and streamline workflows has evolved into a leading software solution for on-demand manufacturing.

2024 was no exception. We have made tremendous strides in transforming how organizations approach manufacturing. More national economies are emphasizing agile, sustainable, and local manufacturing capabilities, and we're thrilled to be a cornerstone of this journey.

Empowering Customers to Lead the On-Demand Manufacturing Revolution

3YOURMIND continues to enable organizations to modernize their operations through powerful tools like digital spare part catalogs and advanced part analysis. Whether customers are just beginning their on-demand manufacturing journey or scaling established operations, our software is a trusted partner.

Today, our customers are scaling their additive manufacturing operations by an average of 25% per year, a testament to AM technology and the conviction of our software. In 2024 alone, our Distributed Manufacturing software customers processed two million AM parts supported by 3YOURMIND, generating approximately 40 million in revenue from AM production. This revenue marks a significant step in making distributed manufacturing not just a theory but a practical and profitable reality. Looking ahead, we aim to expand these figures by incorporating AI advancements in object character recognition (OCR) and traditional manufacturing technologies into our solutions.

In addition, we're seeing greater confidence in cloud-based deployments. In years past, we witnessed a trend in the AM industry toward on-premise systems. However, as more customers go online in more locations, cloud-based systems are becoming increasingly normalized. In 2024, 3YOURMIND was accepted into AWS GovCloud, which enables us to host our software on an ITAR-compliant server cloud-based server. For our customers, particularly those in defense, this opens the door to new software availability and updates.

Driving Results Through Collaboration

One of our most impactful collaborations in recent years was with the U.S. Marine Corps.  Through the Advanced Manufacturing System, we analyzed 10,000 parts and identified over 300 suitable for on-demand manufacturing. This effort reduces lead times, helps ensure critical equipment stays operational, and reduces costs. It also brings manufacturing capabilities back to the US.

Our work with the United States Marine Corps. also opened the door for us to collaborate with the U.S. Army U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC). In this initiative, we support the U.S. Army in analyzing up to 10,000 parts to fully digitize parts for the M113 armored personnel carrier.

Such results wouldn't be possible without the commitment of our employees. From our product and engineering teams to customer success and sales, their persistence in solving complex problems defines our company culture.

Expanding Capabilities to Meet Future Demands

Last year was also a milestone for software advancements in our newly re-named Part Identification and Distributed Manufacturing solutions. Led by our Chief Product Officer, Stephan Galozy, our product and development teams executed several significant feature updates that will support our customer's day-to-day operations.

Last year, we introduced a new material database with over 1,300 entries, enabling users to compare properties and select optimal materials for 3D-printed parts. This material database supports our new manufacturability checks capabilities, which can accelerate go-to-market timelines by providing engineers with recommendations based on design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) best practices. Perhaps most exciting is our enhancements to 2D drawing analysis, now powered by artificial intelligence. These enhancements are ITAR-compliant, further supporting our U.S. Department of Defense customers.

These developments showcase our commitment to delivering tools that empower our customers to achieve faster, more innovative, and more efficient production processes.

2025 and Beyond

While 2024 wasn't without challenges, the road ahead is filled with excellent opportunities. In the past, we witnessed heavy investment by enterprise organizations into additive manufacturing machines. In 2024, we saw the winds change direction as enterprises reduced their additive manufacturing investment and, instead, outsourced more of their operations to service bureaus. We also felt this shift; between 2023 and 2024, our service bureau customer base grew by 40%, signaling that service bureaus remain valuable, experienced partners.

Looking to the year ahead, we're excited to expand on cutting-edge features powered by generative AI and machine learning to deliver enhanced capabilities that stretch beyond additive manufacturing to amplify the value of our software further. We look forward to sharing those updates with you in the future.

To our customers, employees, and investors, thank you for your partnership, dedication, and trust. Together, we're not just keeping up with the future of manufacturing—we're playing a pivotal role in its development.
